The New Year Dawns...

Well, if you want to set yourself a bunch of new year resolutions, get your internet cut off for a month!

You'll soon see how much time is wasted on some things and not enough put into other things.

It was a great benefit when both sons I was staying with, week about week, had their own internet problems.

One who lives at the back of beyond, with no main grid power, obviously has challenges and the other, living in the 'burbs, decided to get a better provider...a month before Xmas.

Well, that went weird and they lost him altogether and he was without internet for 3 weeks...over Xmas!

However, we all survived and I'm back on my blog, but won't be doing any more Twitter or FBk postings etc, other than my blog.

So, with that being sorted, I have suddenly found a lot of extra hours to devote to my new interest, which will grow over the coming years.

Still very hot and muggy here with temps over 30C every day, with it raining when it gets too hot for too long, which thankfully cools things down somewhat for a day or two.

Have been visiting family and friends and am on the final leg of this pilgrimage to the gates of heatwave territory for this time! I just wish my family all lived over there too...it would be lovely.

Hopefully they can come across next year for a visit and extend it to a tour of the regions around.

Can't wait to get back to the cool/cold/freezing weather. Looks like there will be snow the day I arrive back too. The volunteer family I have staying in the house over there are doing OK from what they say, so here's hoping!
Dog had 4 puppies and their eyes are opened just this week.

Icecream plum pudding with golden mini plum puddings on top!
Erik sent pics of the puppies!
Just too cute...
Adorable. Can't wait to see them.
Xmas day in OZ...
Yummy...
How it's done in OZ!
Getting ready to launch the rocket ride!
Family group...All growing up. Time flies and every Xmas reminds us of just how fast time has gone by!
Pre-Xmas in Killarney, Ireland in 2013 Dec 16th, at Paddy's Hostel, with a bunch of kids from many countries who never had experienced a real Xmas dinner like the Australians and English do it! They were enthralled. All had to buy something towards the meal. Peas, the custard, potatoes, carrots etc and Marta, the beautiful Spanish girl (left lower) made a Sacher Torte cake to complete the plum pudding, trifle and other Xmas fare on offer! Of course we had a turkey. Kids from Spain, Scotland, Ireland, NZ, China, Korea, Romania. and me from OZ. The Korean boy was taking this pic.
Before Xmas on 6th Dec in 2012 with friends at a Phantom concert in Vienna. It was freezing and I had that lightweight vole frock on and my but sure froze outside! The girls wore their hand made replica frocks from the original theatrical production. They were beautiful. Ivy came across from Germany for the concert and Katharina lives in Vienna.

15th Jan 2016...A year ago!
Over at my neighbour's place about this time last year!
So with a few lovely cooler memories, I'll finish this blog for now and see you one more time before leaving OZ with some nice pics of OZ.

I left my camera mind behind and haven't been very active on the shutter at all over here, so will make up for it next week.

Cheers for now and have a great and prosperous New Year!
