Christ-Mas in OZ...

Christ is the reason for the Season, the official celebration day of His birth.

Of course there will always be debate about the actual date and day...but as long as we continue to acknowledge, revere, regard with deep respect, deference, admiration and celebrate His Birth, we will prosper as a nation.

So, have a very Merry Christmas indeed!

My grand daughter and 2 great nieces made these gingerbread houses which could easily have resembled the Inn where the Baby Jesus was born so long ago...
Another one under construction!
3 little gingerbread houses...Such fun watching the girls icing and decorating them.
Sorting out the walls, roof and other pieces in the kit.
And pop they go! Bon-Bons are a must have at our Xmase's as where else would you get the awesome hats, silly jokes and useless trinkets from?
Awesome hats!
There were spare bon-bons, so we pulled again and found more little treats!
Trying to climb into the big Triton truck my son loaned me to drive around in whilst here! I feel like I'm in a monster truck, peering down on the ants below!
Down at the lovely Fisherman's Wharf in Surfer's Paradise, Qld, Australia...
A jet ski teacher heading out to his pupils...
A pretty horrible day as far as weather goes for tourists, but I'm happy! It's just 24C....yeahhhhy!!!
A family get together is always fun...even if everyone is not there!
Now, how to tackle this monster burger thing?

OK...this is better now!
A massive nachos! It is big enough for 3 people!
Asher and Kirra giggling away!
Guess who just received his own Brand New phone? Only for use at the farm and to call Daddy! And one of those movement watches that count all your steps, measures your sleep and so on!
Ooops, forgot this nice one of the family...Massive meals and more coming... at Fisherman's Wharf in Surfers...
What happens if you wear 3 or 4 party hats at once?
Creative Kirra...
Bennie doesn't like his new Xmas hat...and scarf...and coat...in the 35C heat!
Try and take pics of a dog! dohhh...
My jogging track...
Beautiful Poinciana trees in bloom...
My jogging track near my son's place in Burpengary...
Caboolture Lakes...My old stomping grounds in the 80's!
The farmers used to wonder why the city irrigated its lakes!
A really lovely park now, instead of an old flood plain...
You can walk for miles around here...very relaxing indeed.
And if you feel a bit energetic, try your walking exercises on the 2 complimentary walker machines!
Some water ducks taking a break from the hot mid-day sun!
I like these 2 machines. The back one is awesome. You sit on it and pull the handles down and lift yourself up. A variation on the chin up bar exercise, but heaps easier.
Having a look around under water...
Finally, I arrived at the Shopping centre...
More next blog...

I wish you all a very Merry Xmas and a fabulous New Year!

May all your wishes come true...keep the faith, be consistent, be courageous, be steady, kind and true to your heart.

Remember, it is better to be kind than right.

But do not cast your pearls before swine otherwise they trample them under foot and turn around and attack you.

Discern the difference.

All my love,
Cheers from all of us in OZ!
Mary
