Days 8 & 9...The Great Unpack and Repack!

Well, that was sort of sudden...
The idea to pack everything up again, just after I'd unpacked it all too!

Have arranged to have all the furniture repaired and restored to its former glory over winter, so thought as the pieces have to go to the factory or wherever, I may as well start emptying them all now in readiness.
Of course one thing leads to another and suddenly...everything was emptied out, the place is now bare...ish and there are boxes and huge packing bags everywhere.

As the bathroom floor is being concreted in the next few weeks, I also took advantage of that opportunity to box that room up as well, so everything worked out great.

I'll put my clothes in the only empty suitcase...hahaha...and get the entire inside walls, ceilings and timber-work painted while the place is "empty".

It's a bit faster with this job than I thought, but if the place is warm inside over winter, I don't see why I can't paint it then. Will soon find out if it's a no-no!

Back to packing up my treasures now...
This was another miracle I picked up in Edinburgh, Scotland a few years ago. Could not believe my luck that day. I'd priced a real silver setting that I wanted in London, Prague, Vienna and Paris and fell over in shock...recovered and decided if that's what I really wanted, I'd better save $50 a week for 3 years for it! Yup, it was that expensive, but in 3 yrs I'd have what I wanted. Then a few months later I found the exact pattern I wanted, in silver, in a charity shop in Edinburgh for 15 pounds...reduced from 20 pounds (about $30 Ausd). One very happy chappy here for sure!
Dragging things out from cupboards and wardrobes into piles to organise as this is the first time most of my things have been in one place for over 5 years! Have emptied all the stuff I had not opened yet, put everything together into sets or groups and repacked it!
To-morrow most of the bags will go upstairs to the attic as the place will have to be emptied when the windows and doorway get cut in anyways, so now is a good time to do it.
Easy house keeping ahead for winter, I can see!
