Day 1...

What a great way to begin the exciting next stage of this amazing journey into a new life in Europe...

It is the first day of October 2015, the sun is shining, the sky is that lovely milky blue that only Europe seems to produce, there is just enough coolness in the air to make life incredible while sitting on the verandah having a cuppa and soaking it all up while listening to my lovely Viennese waltzes...

Ahhhh, this is what dreams are made of....sighhh.

This place really puts the music in my pulse and the singing in my veins.

Unless you feel it it is almost impossible to describe.

Arriving back last night it was great to see Oskars, the young Latvian/Dutch lad I had staying here while I was absent for 7 weeks, had done a great job of looking after the place.
The yard was all mowed, edges done, no weeds in the garden, the garden still producing capsicum, chili, tomatoes, a few last zucchini and flowers in full bloom.

To-day I lazily washed, emptied my oversized, overweight suitcase and backpack and basked in the awesomeness of just being here to enjoy and delight in some of the delights of Europe I moved here for!

Will set out the entire plan until Xmas, then for the next 3 months after that and have it organised in the next few days after going to Debrecen tomorrow to begin the staying visa process at last.

That set of plans should take me up until end of March when things begin to grow like crazy over here, spring is in the air the winter hibernation period ends.
Humans emerge from their winter indulgences and begin to exercise again to lose the excess weight gained during this strange time of self imposed hibernation. It takes some getting used to I'm finding.

Working the plan for the completion of this place and promotion of it as a guest accommodation will take up all my time over the next 6 months, starting right now...and would you believe, as I was writing this a lad dropped by who had befriended Oskars whilst he was here and will organise with the Mayor for the workers I need to get the place ready in time for next year.

He is asking about painters for the timber doors windows etc in the house, replacing glass, new doors being made to match the existing 100 year old ones and all the furniture to be renovated, fixed, restained and so on.

So over the next 6 months this work can be done at a good pace and I only have to get Zoltan to finish the brickwork, rendering etc on the house and 3 sheds plus get the new shed built in May/June next year.
Job done!

Promotion has me a bit stumped right now, but that knowledge will be imparted at the right time as I faithfully follow the steps set out to have it all up and ready by end March with the first of many future guests enjoying their experience in April 2016.

Went into the city to see a friend but somehow got crossed wires so headed to Budapest on the 11am bus instead, arriving with 15 mins until the 3pm train left for the last leg of the journey home to Tiszigar, via Tiszafured and a train change at Fuszensabony, arriving at about 6pm with the sun trying to peep out from a partially cloudy sky.

Perfect...even with half a house, as my son said, in my suitcase (31.7 kgs) and (18kgs) on my back!

No one said anything about the extra weight of my cases and some kind soul always helped me on, off, up or down with them, so it was OK getting them to where I had to with the least amt of fuss.

One lovely guy even carried my huge case down the big stairs at Budapest as we still haven't figured where the jolly lift is!

So, I'm home, enjoying watching the washing dry as I listen to more Strauss waltz music and write this blog report. I even lit the fire to keep the house at the right temperature, even tho it's a no cardigan day outside, it got down to 15C in the house last night, which is ok.

It stays at 12C without heating so I'll keep the fire going and keep the temp around 15-20 which is nice for me inside. It's now 23 C inside with the doors open and higher than that outside.
Perfect in all respects.
Lovely tile work on the floor in Melbourne airport...
Note to self...stop next time to take certain pics Mary!
Flying into a setting sun for an hour or more...
This pic gives an idea of all you have to work with if you can't get the pilot to turn the plane around for you to get a better shot of things!
This shot is for my grandson Oscar, who wants to know what the top of the clouds look like when you go thru them...

Abu Dahbi is a sea of lights, right on the sea with hundreds of  oil wells lit up in the water ever few hundred metres .
Leaving Abu Dahbi at 3am on Wednesday morning... Still 37C at that time...dohhh
The moon over the Danube in Austria...
Touchdown in Vienna 6.30am on Wednesday 30 September...A luscious supposed 6 C...
