And Up She Goes...

At last the roof timbers for the Guest Cottage have arrived!

But it seems my 2nd worker has gone missing, therefore I have to find someone else to help raise the roof and get the place locked up before winter sets in.

These pics are from the 5 day trip from Brisbane to Tiszafured last week, so here goes. They are a bit higgley-piggley and out of order at times, but they are pretty good for someone on a bus, learning how to use a phone-camera.

Cute kids play area in China Airport...
Too cute...
More cuteness...
Less than 6 months old, the new China airport. They are still installing shops in it...
Huuuugggge airport.

Wondering how to get out/down to 159, through the glass here!

Massive place here...
The kids will know what/who these 4 critters are!

On the bus, coming from/to  Brussels and Luxembourg...
Out of the bus windows at sunset in either Brussels or Luxembourg

Autumn everywhere across Europe...

Autumn out of the bus window...Luxembourg?

So many different buildings...more modern than what I'm wanting, bu it is as it is!

This is more like the buildings I love in Europe...

Coming into the entrance under the Chunel...crossing the English Chanel, underground by bus...and the bus goes into a train carriage at that!
It is huge...but you can't see the Chanel!

All these pics are back to front...ie, the last pics seem to be coming up first! New software has its learning curves!
Not much room at the side of the bus...
At last...big line up...
Off to the loos...if we find them before we cross!
Big train carriages that take big buses...
Lots of double sets of doors, like on a real train...
So, out of the bus and off to the loos...
...and the roller door came down and our bus was locked in its own compartment on the train going under the English Chanel...
Once inside the train carriage, they allowed us to get out to go to the toilet...
Follow that bus in front!
Going in...
Going in ...
Going in and under the ocean!
It was the 6th time I did this trip under the Chunel, but the first time I got out of the bus on the crossing. Very interesting to do that as you get to really experience the huge project this engineering project was. Amazing.

20 mins and it was all over...no water sightings on both sides, so it is a bit of a let down in a way as the English Chanel is an iconic legend, a dream of many to swim across it...mine included, in days gone past and yet I still haven't seen it from here!

Anyways, the weather was beautiful for the entire trip and I learned a little about how to use the new phone/camera, so it was a great and very enjoyable trip.

Back home now, and all is in full swing to get a lot of work done before the cold weather sets in for 4 months or so! One very upsetting problem is I've lost Dirk, my Belgium worker. He did all the hard jobs that Imre could not do, so we'll both miss him a lot.

With that in mind, the schedule is being rearranged to work in a different order now, as we can't seem to find other workers at the moment, but all should be completed about the same time regardless.

I can hardly wait to get all the floors done in the house over Xmas, plus curtains and light fittings, which will make a great difference...and finally put in the kitchen benches...and use the quaint little porcelain cabinet knobs I found in a $2 shop in OZ.

I didn't realize how much was really completed here until I came back last week and saw it through different eyes...so I'm quite excited to get the last few things done out of the way to have a completed interior at last. The outside is a different story.

Worked in the oval garden yesterday and planted 50 purple, white and yellow pansies and some of those nice daisy/chrysanthemum plants which have brightened up the garden somewhat.

Then a nice neighbour came in today and brought me a huge bag of sweet white grapes, which I normally don't eat as they are pretty tasteless, but I gobbled them all down today!

Have to go to Debrecen again on Tuesday and finalise my residence visa, so there goes another $18,000ft! Will see if I can get a 5 year visa this time

So, until next time, will go now...and say cheers.
Stay well all,
M
xxxx.
