Hahaha...raced to catch a fast fading sunset out of the end room window and well... you know the rest!
Nice days, even some with cloud cover, but generally, my sort of weather...Nice.
Just heard that our own OZ star, Ben Lewis is playing Phantom in London until March next year. That deserves some serious attention.
He was the older Phantom in the beautiful sequel, Love Never Dies, in Australia a few years ago.
Now he's playing the 10 years younger version of Phantom...I wonder how he'll go?
The house has been painted, front, backside and front.
The end wall won't get painted because it will be part of the new building and it will be the inside of some part of a new room/s.
Getting it done...slowly but surely! |
Painted the top part of the trim now...looking good... |
Back of house painted... You can just see the new chimney that Imre put up last week too... |
Sunset on a busy painting day... |
Everything painted...I just went out and undercoated the window trims and the 3 wooden bits which still has to have more tiddly bits added to them yet...and the arched window has to be finished yet. |
A really pretty rose I collected on my jogging trail this morning....taken in the kitchen with the sun streaming in... |
It looked a bit better after a bit of a paint up! The poor neighbours had to look at this for so many years! |
Imre brought me this massive hand made pottery jug! Check out the size of that monster! |
Made a nice chocky slice.... |
This is the work area ...a big junk pile...As the sun sets over the cement mixer! |
Lovely sunsets at this time of the year! |
Just cleaned up the gardens a bit for winter... |
Digging holes everywhere looking for the blessed air vent for the cellar which we accidentally covered over when we put in the window last year... |
Found it...Now we put in the vent pipe...The cellar sweated like mad last winter and the timber cover I had over it all went mouldy, so it was imperative we get the vent in before winter this year. |
Now to seal up all the mess we just made... |
Look at those clouds over there...you don't often see them all puffy like this over here due to all the cloud seeding that goes on. |
A trip to Eger...I love this city... |
Clean and pretty... |
Lovely buildings... |
Lots of coffee shops... |
Lots of nice out door coffee places... |
A little bridge in the middle of town... |
A bit too early for most coffee shops...10 am we were on the hunt! |
Tourists just coming on the scene... |
So clean and tidy... |
Inside the lovely chapel... |
Very pretty... |
Lovely ceilings... |
That is some Marble pillar! |
We'll go up to the castle next time... |
Love these funny emoji cushions... |
Old and new footpaths, lovely old buildings, modern cars! |
A big old church...big, big old church... |
People coming out everywhere now...getting onto 12 midday! |
A beautiful building...hidden behind the trees... |
One way to hide broken footpaths... |
Looking for the medieval restaurant...The Excalibur... |
Just a nice area on the way up to the park in Eger... |
Just very pretty... |
Found the park... |
There's the restaurant... |
Can't get that sword out of that rock... |
Inside the restaurant...I got a lot of ideas from here... |
Knights needed for the round table... |
We came back to town for lunch...People everywhere now... |
So, back home again...another lovely sunset... |
Time to get into the cellar to clean it up, now the vent is in... |
This mess just came from fixing the walls upstairs...falling through the cracks in the cellar floor door... |
It will make a nice little medieval room for parties! |
Plenty of room for all my kids to play downstairs if they come over! |
A quick ending here to a nice group of pics.
Had a nice break for the time that Melinda was here...now it's back to work for me.
See you all next week,
Hope I can have the trim colour on the front by then...I tried some today, but it looks a bit pale, so will put more base into it and have another try tomorrow and over the week-end.
Cheers,
Stay safe and well,
Mary,
xxxx.
