3 Big Jobs for April...

I have organised 3 big jobs for completion in April, so here's hoping it all comes off as planned.

Firstly...the window in bedroom one...in and tidy and I even painted the wall around it too!

Secondly... repair the little shed...
Back of the shed is in, roof is back on and a floor in...Most of that is done now, except Zoltan took off all the 100 year old historical outside plaster to-day (grhhhhh)...now he has to make a mix and replace the original with a mix of what he took off...and get it looking old again...Nem forints either!

Thirdly...Dig drains all around the house where the down pipes are and feed all into the well, as the gutters just drop the rain water onto the ground on each corner of the house at the moment. Half the trenches are done so we should finish that all up in 4 hrs on the weekend,  Zoltan said today.

Then there are also about 6-7 other smaller jobs to do, which will take a few days or so...and I'm not starting any big job until all those annoying little jobs are done.
  1. cement under the back fence,
  2. complete the re-positioning of the entrance path...it looks awesome now as we turned the existing cement blocks sideways and edged it both sides with bricks...
  3. fix gate bolts in as the front gates are so heavy, the screws keep falling out,
  4. make 3 new little garden gates and cut the fence for the water metre reader so he doesn't have to walk into the yard, over the proposed new spa decking to get to the metre
  5. the fence extended around the well, and the brick edges and path extension done to match the rest
  6. complete the deck over near the little shed,
  7. put all the wood into the new wood-shed...and then I'm having a rest, going to Serbia to see my dentist and get the crown put on my tooth, catch up with friends down there and head back for the next round of repairs in May!
In May, the 3 door shed repairs begin...and that will take about 4 weeks by the looks of things.

A very strange sunrise the other day...
An equally strange sunset the day before!
Flowers everywhere right now...
Even weeds look great!
Pulling up the path and turning it sideways...My USA volunteer, Dave.
Looking heaps better now! All I have to do now is find out where to buy 6 more the same as they have a tongue and groove set up so they inter lock into each other.
Lovely blooms...
A mass of blossoms everywhere...
Planting time in Hungary...
Garlic head dress...
Roof going on now...
Battens going on...
As sure footed as a mountain goat!
Looks a mess, but wait and see...
Getting there...
Using all the old tiles...
A bit more done...
Adjusting and sorting tiles...
Looking as though it will work!
Basic roof on...now the tiles get cut to even them up and all the holes and gaps get patched up, end covers like an eave thing go on outside and it's done!
Roof on celebration...
Jelena in Serbia gave me this family heirloom for safe keeping...Sabina from Germany, gave me the candles, I'm Aussie and in Hungary...so do you think this could be classed as an international affair?
OK...am off now...lots to do this week.
Cheers,
Mary
