After the Snow...Comes the Rain!

Trying to find out how to put in a pic I want at the top, after I've started...and it won't let me change the original links it created when I first published it a while ago.

So it looks like maybe no pics on this post to-day in FBk!

Nothing much to report this week...or so I thought for most of it!
Found my inspiration...
Snow has gone...hoping for more, the sun has shone, it's been below zero to minus 11C and up to 8C in the day...at the moment it is supposed to be snowing but is 2C

And after the rain comes the sun...
Starting to melt...
The next day...
Of course it rained and melted most of the snow...
Then next day...all gone!
Time to pull down the tree and put away the Xmas decs...Found these cute little tree decs in Belgrade...
Cute as...
This little one had lights in it...all of less than 2 inches big!
It must still be pretty cool out there. These  huge blocks of ice are from inside the barrels of water, turned to ice. A week after the snow melted, the rains came, the sun shone for days, the temp went to 8C for a day or so...they are still pretty hefty ice blocks.
Yesterday I found a great website...http://catherinesvineyardcottages.com/ and gained the inspiration to continue the renos in this style.
Some great ideas...

Nothing really gelled with me that I tried and I just could not gain inspiration to continue in any form at all. the dark timbers , nice and all as they are, fully restored, still did not seem the right fit for here, so I was languishing around in the gloom of winter, trying and testing things, but nothing worked.
This has all the colours I like and combines things I have here in the place, so it's full steam ahead now.
Here are the colours of nature...all brightened up in the lovely picture you just saw above.

Plus, I found a shop in Tiszafured which has all these exact types of interior decorations and the couple came out and had a look here. The man, Tibi, fixed my new gas heater...it wouldn't work, or at least, I couldn't get it to work.

Then he fixed a lamp that went kaput too. I'd tossed it out into the bin and went and fished it out as I thought he might have magic fingers and indeed he did!

Shame I tossed my DVD player, my electric jug and hot plate out over the past few weeks too..

They all just  stopped working...Sighhh, but I waited for months with the hot plate and jug and a couple of weeks with the DVD player, so I'm trusting the Universe had no hope of them being fixed... in its sights!

Zoltan came over this morning and we shifted some furniture around, moved cement etc and am now getting ready to finally get things rockin' and rollin' here to pretty it all up.
Was already going to use a table I have here for this idea, so am chuffed to see how!
Have these beds...
Have a box/table just like this...but not painted like this one yet! The white table in the left corner I have and am using that for the vanity in the bathroom.

Very simple to replicate...
And to top it all off with a sign from above that this IS the way to go...as I have all the furniture...the green stool...I have an exact one, just like this, same size and all. amazing. So, the house is done folks. The Little Lodge of many wonders, lives again! But...check out the wine vat as a shower base...I even have 4 various sized vats....hmmmnnn, for the rebuild of the collapsed shed bathrooms???
And to add an extra dash of must do this...to the project, check out these! I have one, sort of like this, but 100 yrs old and obviously unable to be used as a basin, but Gabriella, at the shop I found, has these back in stock to-day!
So, you can see, the place is really styled for me...a supplier, with style is available to help and her hubby is going to do the windows and doors for me. Fix them all, paint throughout, replace knobs etc etc. so, how blessed am I?

Amazing is it not?

Back into the Hardware yards for wood today...
It's just a bit down the road from town, but a quick few mins walk...
Every time I cross the bridge I think of my sister Judy, because she had her profile picture at one time as a blade of these types of reeds!
Lunch today for me was a huge bowl of awesome home made broccoli soup...and a coffee...all up 660ft...about $3.30 Ausd.
This was where poor little dog was living when we took her in the night before Xmas...Those sticks were her little nest.

Bye for now

Deliciously Delectable...Dreams Do Come True...

Wow...
Wow...
and wow again!

Ahhhh...
A big bucket on the bucket list has just been achieved...

Can't really believe it is true, but it is I guess, as I'm here, now and living in it.

It is snowing in my yard.

In my wildest dreams, I never imagined this to be so exhilarating.
I'm fair done in...can't gather my emotions...

My feet are freezing...
I have no adequate heating in the house...
Have to tramp to the loo in the elements...because the ground froze solid just a day before the septic trenches were completed...hahaha...but I am sooo very happy...I can ascend all those minor details because one of my deepest wishes/dreams has come true.

My eyes are leaking badly at the moment, but it is all happy leaks...
Hey, that;s a good title for a website...Happy Leaks.

Anyways...I have achieved one of my deepest dreams and am so childlike happy, it is almost a sin.
I can not tell you or even do I know why this is so deliciously awesome to me...but it is!

Snow...

In my own backyard...

Why?

Who cares...it is awesome..Loving it.

Amazing.

A deep desire has come into being and I am amazed at the power of  pursuit and tenacity.
Even though I did not realize I was wanting this so much, it still happened!

Not much else to say...but...
If you really want something, you must be prepared to sacrifice your comfort zone for it...such as
Inside amenities,
A nice home,
A set routine,
A stable circle of friends...
and much more...

If you really do want something...

You must  be prepared to abandon every thing you accept as the norm to achieve it.
No more...
No less.

Today was a major achievement on many fronts.

Who would have thought a few years ago, that lil' ole' me, a gran on the way down in her latter years after a massive GFC disaster, would be achieving anything...let alone fulfilling some life time dreams...and in Europe of all places, to top it all off!

Too overwhelmed with joy just now to say much more...
So here's the pics to compliment and supplement my case!

Ohhh and with all the excitement I forgot to mention that the postie lady hailed me down at the bus stop yesterday morning, on my way to town to buy a big gas heater.

She had a registered letter for me!

Yes, my biometric resident visa card arrived right at the start of the year.

It wasn't snowing in the morning yesterday, but at about 2.30pm on the way home in the cab, heater and all...it began snowing and within an hour, the place was white...at my place too...awesome hey?

Admiring the neighbour's 4 boys sporting medals...all for soccer. Amazing. Put a coloured pic up first, as that's about all the colour around at the moment.
There it is! Hope you can read it...
Before going to bed last night.
Tested out the little oven I bought down in Belgrade. These are really simple to make...linseed, almond and sunflower seeds, powdered in the blender, some of my hemp flour, grated ginger, sea salt and some coconut oil to mix it together. Wait about 30 mins for the hemp flour and the linseeds to absorb the oil and then mix well again, roll into little balls, press down really thin with a fork of bottom of a glass, cook for 20-30 mins at biscuit setting temp and enjoy with a cuppa.

Dog is fascinated with the snow and runs all over the big paddock when I let her out into the half acre.
One hour after it began snowing...
Too exciting for words...
2 hrs after it began snowing...
Wow, it is beautiful...
The cars driving very cautiously...
This morning it was still there!
The flash went off on this one and captured some snowflakes in flight as it began lightly snowing again this morning.
Dog footprints all over the place...hahaha...
Another car coming  very gingerly from town.. A couple of dogs prowl up and down by my fence, as you can see from all the footprints, chatting with dog when she goes out for a wee or whatever, every few hours.
The road was looking pretty skiddy to me! There's a flock of birds flying over too, if you notice near the wires on the telegraph poles..
Looks so cute to me!
Well, that's it ...

That's all I have...am feeling very blessed indeed, even though I've worn out my DVD player...

Have to play Hogan in the DVD slot in my computer, which isn't as much fun as using the little DVD player...but at least it is something.
Would just play directly from the internet on Youtube, but with such bad to no internet...again today, that is not an option.

In the next few months I'll look at getting "cable"??? or whatever for the TV Pommie shows that Peter, son, has at his place. I love those Real Estate shows from over there.

Bye...

A Happy Minus 9C New Year to All!

Happy New Year one and all from a wonderfully awesome minus 9C in Tiszaigar in these last few moments of 2015...then it's over rover.

Then it's full steam into 2016 and all that lays ahead in this new year that is now upon us.

Have you set any specific goals you want to achieve  in 2016?

You must aim for something otherwise you'll bump along from one circumstance to another and wonder what happened when Xmas comes again in 2016...although there is an extra day this year now, a leap year day for 2016, which will give you a bit of extra time to work on those aims you set out to achieve in 2016!

I set out a 5 year plan in August 2011, a few months after I came back from my first trip to Europe and am shocked to discover a huge chunk of those goals have been achieved and there's still 8 or so months to go yet to get the remaining parts of the overall goal into place!

It's a bit of a (nice) shock really to see it in writing and then be living in the reality of that plan.

I never understood about 5, 10 or 20 year plans and hence all my life I bumped around from one exciting achieved goal to another and later on, wondered why everything I'd done- while being very exciting - had left no accumulated substance behind me.

A rolling stone gathers no moss or dross and that was me indeed.

Then after that awesome 2011, 3 month backpacking trip around the parts of UK and Europe I felt I might belong in, I found I did love Bohemia and Lower Bavaria and decided to go on another trip back and look around some more.

So, I set up a plan, a 5 year plan and tried to figure out what I wanted long term and then create a plan to bring it into being. Regardless of being on the aged pension or not at that time, money or the lack thereof plus my advancing years, were not allowed to become an excuse not go after my dreams.

I knew in my heart that if I wanted something badly enough, the Universe would conspire with me to bring it into being...as long as I had a sufficiently big enough WHY I wanted to do whatever it was I was wanting to do! The impelling must come from within to drive you forwards with a fire in your belly.

The one thing that made this goal and its plan different to all my other goals I'd achieved in life, was that from out of "nowhere" I suddenly understood the difference between a goal and a plan to achieve that goal in mid 2011.
Dohhh, you'd have thought I would have known that, but no...I did not.

So a 5 year plan was created over a few weeks and it officially began on 11th of August 2011.
The end goals were pretty huge in a way, but not really when you understand how the Universe vibrates and the need to tune in to that and follow your gut...weird as it may be at times...and weird it really has been at times!

It was on this 2nd trip back in late 2012 that I decided I wanted to live in that part of Europe, somehow and soon.

3 years and a bazillion airplane miles later at the end of 2015, here I am.

You know the other bits in between from my blog.

***

I'm stretching out this 5 year plan to a bit longer, to achieve the goals, as that is what I learned.
Just because the plan did not come to fruition in the original specified time, I used to ditch that plan and goal and create a new goal, with a new plan, but not this time!

I can't believe I did that for sooo long without realising just to stretch the time line a tad. I never allowed time for me to learn and absorb any lessons from re-takes along the way, so "ditch it quick and move on" was my mantra.

This time there is a peace within as I go from day to day, course correcting as I go each day. Am on course, but am a bit behind, seemingly, at the moment, with the renos and a few other things, but still on the right path...if that makes sense to you?

So, it's on with the show...

Lookee at what I found under my Xmas tree! Compliments of my sister...
So lovely to see the sky after 3 weeks of foggy days and drizzle. Jogging time. I take dog with me, on a leash, she loves it.
How awesome is this...the sun rising over my front fence and the moon setting over my back fence...ahhh, life is good.
9am and this frost isn't going anywhere to-day! It's -6C at the moment and a bit chilly with a slight wind. NYDay.
Found a poor little doggie at the supermarket on Xmas Eve, under some sticks, in the freezing cold, bleeding from a wound on her ribs. So, the dog shelter lady came and we collected her and I'm looking after her for now. I was not ready for a dog in winter, but she is so loving, so obedient, very good, well behaved, doesn't jump all over you, if she does try, just say...NO...and she's down. She's really clever too.. I may keep her...not sure yet.

Lovely little doggie...
Poor little thing...Just brought her in...she's injured and scared.

Xmas present from the Mayor...lovely.

Dog after 4 days of care, a bath, lots of home cooking and a warm bed of old coats, "inside" the house...only in the room where the kitchen will be...I don't like animals in the house though. If I keep her, I'll have to build a specially heated area for her or any other animal I may get over time....just don't know where to at the moment. She loves chomping on the ice!
Check out the ice in the tap bucket! hahaha...I had to chop it with the axe to cut it to show you! Amazing.

OK...internet playing up again!
Will go post this and have another try tomorrow.

Happy new year everyone!
